Talqen Privacy Policy
Talqen supports community style notes, profile pages, AI try-on previews, and preview credit purchases. This policy explains what information those features use, why Talqen uses it, and how you can contact us about privacy requests.
Voice and Audio Processing
Talqen includes microphone permission for in-app web content or support flows that may request audio input. Audio is used only when you grant access and actively start a feature that needs it. The legal basis is your consent. Voice or audio input is treated as session data and is not retained after the request unless you explicitly save or submit it through the feature.
Payments and Credits
Preview credit purchases are processed through the App Store purchase system. Talqen stores purchase status, credit balance, and transaction-related records needed to deliver credits, restore purchases, and resolve support questions. The legal basis is contract fulfillment. Purchase records may be retained for up to 7 years where tax, accounting, or dispute obligations apply.
Analytics and Tracking
If you allow tracking, Talqen may use install, campaign, device, and app performance signals to measure acquisition and app reliability. The legal basis is your consent where required and our legitimate interest in understanding product performance. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings.
Camera and Photo Access
Talqen asks for camera and photo library access so you can add images to style notes, profile photos, and AI try-on preview requests. The legal basis is your consent. Photos selected for these features are used only for the action you choose, and local drafts may remain on the device until you remove them or clear related app data.
Face Data and AI Preview
When you choose an AI try-on preview, Talqen processes the photo you select, which may include visible facial features, body pose, clothing, and background, together with the pair reference image you choose. Talqen uses this data only to generate the preview you request. Talqen does not use this data for face recognition, identity verification, biometric profiling, or to create face templates.
To generate the preview, Talqen sends the selected preview photo and pair reference image to Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Model Studio), which acts as Talqen's AI image-processing service provider. Talqen does not store the selected source face photo on its own servers for this feature. Talqen stores your consent choice on your device, and the returned preview may be cached temporarily on your device so you can review or save it.
Provider processing data and returned image links are retained only as long as needed to process the request and are normally available for no more than 24 hours. Temporary preview files cached on your device are deleted when you leave the preview result screen unless you save the image to Photos or otherwise keep it. The legal basis is your consent for image access and your request for Talqen to perform the AI preview feature.
User Content and Community
Style notes, favorites, profile details, reports, and block decisions are used to operate Talqen's community features. The legal basis is contract fulfillment for account features and legitimate interest for moderation, abuse prevention, fraud handling, and safety review. Account and community records are retained while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion, except where longer retention is needed for safety or legal obligations.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Talqen, we may process account identifiers, profile fields, post content, selected images, selected preview photos that may include visible facial features, moderation reports, block lists, purchase status, credit balance, device diagnostics, crash logs, and permission choices. Crash and diagnostic records are retained for up to 90 days.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to publish community posts, show the feed, generate AI try-on previews, manage preview credits, restore purchases, provide support, detect misuse, handle reports, and improve reliability. Talqen does not use selected preview photos for face recognition, identity verification, biometric profiling, or unrelated advertising claims.
Data Retention
- Voice or audio session data: not retained after the request unless you explicitly submit it.
- Preview session inputs and returned image links: normally no more than 24 hours.
- Temporary preview files cached on your device: deleted when you leave the result screen unless you save the image.
- Account and profile records: while the account is active and up to 30 days after deletion.
- Purchase and credit records: up to 7 years where required.
- Crash and diagnostic logs: up to 90 days.
- Support emails: up to 2 years to maintain request history.
Third-Party Services
Talqen uses Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Model Studio) to process AI preview requests. For this feature, DashScope receives the selected preview photo, which may include visible facial features and other image content, together with the pair reference image for the sole purpose of generating the preview you request. Talqen may also rely on categories of service providers such as app analytics, crash diagnostics, authentication, customer support tooling, and purchase processing. These providers process data only for the service category they support.
Your Rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, export, or objection by emailing support@talqen.com with the subject line "Talqen Privacy Request". We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to verify the account or email associated with the request before acting on it.
Children's Privacy
Talqen is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information through Talqen, contact us and we will review and remove the information where required.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Talqen changes its features, service providers, or legal requirements. Material changes will be presented in-app or on this page before they take effect when practical.
